Even if you have already un-installed Miranda, there is still a good chance that you can recover the passwords for your accounts. Firstly, run the program, click "Recover password!" button and see if the program manages to automatically find and decrypt passwords.
If this doesn't work, find the location where Miranda used to be installed (usually in C:\Program Files\Miranda\). Open Miranda Password Recovery tool, click From File button and browse to the location where Miranda IM was previously installed. If you see a .dat file in this directory - you're in luck! Double click on the first .dat file and you will see if it stores any passwords. Do this for all files that were found in the Miranda installation directory.

* Please note that Miranda IM locks user profile files when it is running, which means passwords can be recovered only when Miranda is shut down (i.e. not running).

Miranda passwords are encoded using the following encryption algorithm:

First Miranda password cracker was made in February 2003 by uinC Team from Russia. This password finder used to search the whole database for passwords and does not work for the current version of Miranda anymore.
