Paltalk Password Recovery
Paltalk Password Recovery will find encrypted Paltalk,
PaltalkScene & SuperIM passwords, decode them and decrypt them with
a click of a button. The correct passwords are recovered automatically
if they are saved on the local system and you are able to login with Paltalk
automatically without having to manually enter the password. All versions
of Paltalk are supported including Paltalk Scene, Basic, Plus, Extreme,
Deluxe, Premium, PalPlus and SuperIM. Passwords from multiple profiles
can be recovered as well as passwords from the ICQ, AIM, MSN and Yahoo
Messengers that are stored by Paltalk.
This tool will be particularly useful when you want to migrate Paltalk
to another PC but you have forgotten your Pal Talk password. Lost PaltalkScene
passwords have a chance to be recovered!
Description of how passwords are encoded in Paltalk:
All Paltalk versions from 8.2 to 9.8 (latest release) are using the same password encryption algorithm.
Paltalk passwords are stored in the registry. To encrypt the new password Paltalk looks at the serial number of the disk C:\ and performs a mix with the Nickname. The resulting string is then mixed again with the password and some other constants. The final string is then encoded and written to the registry.
AIM, ICQ and Yahoo Messenger passwords that are stored by Paltalk are encoded by a simple BASE64 algorithm.
